September 15, 2007 - Note from Adoptive Family:

Lucy Loo lost her battle with MCT cancer. She went peacefully on Sept.15th. She went in true bulldog fashion, with her held held up proud until her sedative took effect. She was my beautiful angel from the moment I took her into my life until the moment I held her as she left my life. Our other girls are doing ok, they looked for her for awhile but seem to have realized she has moved on. We are going to miss our loo loo girl and in time we might like to adopt another, but we are a family in mourning for now.

HEAVEN'S DOGGY-DOOR

My best friend closed her eyes last night,

As her head was in my hand.

The Doctors said she was in pain,

And it was hard for her to stand.

The thoughts that scurried through my head,

As I cradled her in my arms.

Were of her younger, puppy years,

And OH...her many charms.

Today, there was no gentle nudge

With an intense "I love you gaze",

Only a heart thats filled with tears

Remembering our joy filled days.

But an Angel just appeared to me,

And he said, "You should cry no more,

GOD also loves our canine friends,

HE's installed a 'doggy-door"!
