In Loving Memory of Nugget
In Loving Memory of Nugget we are going to continue fund raising in his honor. Your Donation will help bullies in our current care and all the future bullies that need our help. Thank you for giving what you can!
11/30/10 Sadly Nugget lost his courageous fight last night. We did all we could but it was not meant to be. While he was here he touched everyone who knew him with the face you just wanted to smooch and his incredible sweet disposition, despite t...he pain he was in. He had charmed the girls at the Animal Emergency Clinic in Tacoma, to sit with him, read to him, and keep him company and he even talked them out of meat, cheese and Cheetos yesterday. He will be missed by all but we take comfort in knowing that he is now free to run and play without pain and discomfort. We are greatfull for the efforts of Dr Hicks and all the staff that took such good care of this wonderful guy. Hugs to his family who wanted the best for him and Marci who loved him so and donated so generously to his care. Rest in peace Nug, we love you!
We thank everyone that donated to his care , without all of you and your support none of this effort would have been possible. During this Holiday of giving we hope you will continue to think of CBRR in your holiday plan.”
11/27/10 Nugget is not doing well, he is not responding to the pain medications or the antibiotics. Dr Hicks is not confident that Nugs situation can be improved with surgery so they have changed his meds and we are hoping for a miracle over the next 48hrs.He has touched everyone's heart and we are hoping for the best, please keep him in your thoughts.
11/26/10“after extensive testing, poking, prodding and an MRI later, it has been determined that Nugget has an infection in his lower spine. Surgery was slated for last Tuesday but he regurgitated and sucked junk back down the wrong pipe and got slight pneumonia. Surgery canceled and he was put on 3 high powered antibiotics. He may be able to go home to his foster mom, Marci on Saturday.
The hospital bill has been enormous. Please if you can spare a few dollars we would appreciate it very much. “
Please Welcome Nugget to CBRR
Nugget comes to CBRR as an owner surrender. He is a mellow guy that is not feeling well at all. He has infected eyes, ears and skin. And he can hardly walk. He is responding well to his meds and almost completely healed accept for his back knees. The Doc thinks he has 2 blown ACL’s which make him cry out in pain when he moves the wrong way. They appear to be an old injury and he has damaged his hips and spine overcompensating for his knees. He has seen the specialist and is scheduled for double knee surgery next week, we are hoping to manage his pain and give him a better quality of life. Please check out his Blog for updates or visit us on Facebook
Please donate to his extensive medical care. He will be with us for a while and we can’t do it without your donations. Tha
